Fifth Strand * Action -- Mallynap Return

[When Rapunzel appears in the Plaza by the Fountain, it is in the company of two Malnosso Droids. Both droids are wearing flowers on their heads. The trio are dancing to this song---well, Rapunzel is singing and dancing: the droids are moving jerkily about, clearly not designed for dance. Apparently, the long-haired princess can charm anyone with a catchy song-and-dance number. Must be a Disney Princess thing.

Finally the droids depart and leave her alone, happy and laughing and catching her breath by the edge of the fountain.

Feel free to catch her after the performance: she is wearing a New Feather sundress and, as usual, no shoes. She's probably cold, but otherwise she seems okay...]

Rapunzel! [A pleasant surprise to have when he's out, but why was she just... singing and dancing with a couple of metal things?

Something doesn't seem right here.] A-are you alright?

Beast! [She laughs and runs toward him, leaving small bloody footprints in her wake.] They finally brought me back!

They...? [But the blood is far too noticeable for him.] Wh-wha... y-you're...! [He immediately looks down at her feet as she approaches him.] Wh-what happened?

Hmmm? The droids took me, and the Malnosso had me at their facility. They treated me very well. It's good to see you again!

D-droi...? [But he stops as soon as he hears the word "Malnosso". This... is not the word he wanted to hear.

His voice sounds more hardened, but still obviously concerned.] They did that to you? [Still looking at her feet.]

[NOW she looks down, following his gaze. Her feet....] OH. I....I'm not sure how this happened...

[She trails off, suddenly frightened. Rapunzel rarely gets hurt and never gets sick. Seeing her own blood like this is scary, and a little embarrassing; she isn't certain what to say.]

[Sure or not, he doesn't like it. The Malnosso hurt Rapunzel. They're worse than he thought they'd be.

Thankfully, he has dealt with blood before, so for once he has a jist of what to do.] Y-you need bandages.

[Oh, Beast...she isn't sure she wants to reveal her secret to you.]

Heh. Uh. I...I don't REALLY need them...

[He turns sharply up and says, more stubbornly than he usually says anything in Luceti:] Yes you do. You're bleeding.

[She has never heard him speak this assuredly. Rapunzel opens and closes her mouth several times, a bit taken aback. Finally:]

Okay, then---bandages.


[If it makes him happy? she will. Later, she can sing her healing song and try to fix them her feet up that way.]

[Briefly he feels bad for saying it like that... he didn't mean to scare her if he did. But this is important.

Now... she'll need to move, but there's no way he's letting her walk more. Hrm... he cautiously approaches her, pondering how she'll get there.]

[She simply lifts her arms, reaching up to get a hold around his neck. Rapunzel is not frightened at all of Beast, really.]

[Wh-what? He was thinking about carrying her, but he didn't expect her to let him do so so... willingly. He turns his head down slightly in embarrassment as he lowers himself to give her a better grip before easily lifting her up.

Where, where would they find bandages... oh great, now he doesn't know where they would find bandages. At the Item Shop? He'll start moving in its general direction.]

[She tucks her feet up as far as she can under her skirts and holds on tightly to his neck.]

I'm glad you're not bringing me to the clinic. [This observation is made as they head toward the shop.]

I think I'll do better on my own, in my tow---apartment.

[He stops briefly and looks at her.] There's a clinic? [As usual, he's been unable to properly read Luceti's map and hasn't quite explored that part of the village yet.] ... Wh-what's wrong with the clinic?

Are... a-are there bandages at your... apartment? [He's still not used to the whole "apartment" thing... houses in houses just sound strange.]

I...don't usually need them. [She blushes; how do you explain that you have magic glowing healing hair and that bandages are usually unnecessary?]

The people at the clinic might make me stay. I just want to go home.

[She... doesn't get sick much? Well at least that means she usually isn't hurt, right?] A... alright.

[It doesn't take too long for them to reach the Item Shop, where Beast sets her down next to the door. It's not like she needs to go in and get them herself, after all.]

[And maybe she'll get in a little healing before he gets back! Possibly!]

[She may very well be able to as Beast is still getting used to this whole "shopping" thing... where would "bandages" be again? And boxes make it even more confusing... are these the right kind of bandages or are they the weird sticky things?

So when he does eventually come out of the shop, it's a good ten minutes later after a good deal of searching and recognising and deciding, if she thinks that's enough time for healing.]

[It was more than enough time!]</small Welcome back! You know, I really can't thank you enough for helping me like this.

[He pauses when she thanks him. He's still amazed that people - especially pretty girls like Belle and Rapunzel - would thank him for something.] It... y-you're welcome.

[And now he'll be taking the roll of bandage out of its box to do the wrapping, however useless doing that may be now.]

[Her feet are still bloody; perhaps he won't notice that they are perfectly fine. And since he went to all that trouble, she'll let him take care of her.]

Maybe one day I'll return the favor. I mean, I HOPE I won't have to...but you never know, here.

[He'll bend down to examine them; the blood is still there, so no he's not going to notice. Though he's never really done this himself, he recalls a little how Belle did it, so he'll be carefully wrapping the bandage around her left foot, not too neatly but still covering all the spots.]

I... [His voice hardens a little again as he thinks about that last statement.] Do... do they hurt us much?
